Career during COVID 2020/2021

Some Highlights about career changes during the COVID-19 pandemic and what that means for the overall social fabric.

This pandemic is Globally widespread, so the effects on the social fabric are across the entire scale, encompassing nearly every part of the world.

(I'll basically be pointing out the obvious, but please bear with me here)

1st - Healthcare
aggressive boom in demand

The Healthcare field already had great demand way before the COVID-19 pandemic began,
now even more so in an astounding increase in jobs needed to be filled based on demand for anything from COVID testing to hospitalization, not mentioning the whole plethora of other maladies needing attention from Health workers.

Also I see this trend is to most likely to continue increasing over the year 2021, as vaccines are very new & in limited supply and the pandemic is worldwide, which takes even more time to reach everyone who may be in need.

Not to mention what a vaccine cannot cure, that is, speaking about mental/emotional health.
Along with the pressures of the effects of the COVID pandemic, many lost work, and the general addition of stress & pressure has led to the divorce of couples, strain on families, and close connections.

(six feet social distancing + lay offs/furloughs/home evictions + more time on internet/less in person + home delivery fees/extra expenses + less apparent options for stress relief/"going out" + etc... = widespread mental health decline)

2nd - Technology trades
enormous boom in demand

So not much needed to be said here but six feet social distancing

Definitely this field was already growing in demand over the years at an aggressive pace, now with the pandemic, we see :
contactless pay for debit/credit cards is more popular, "Home Office", Virtual meetings/interviews, Using a wide variety of mobile applications to accomplish a variety of things, delivery services, etc....

Now technology is more of a necessity than ever and there needs to be enough workers to meet that demand.

Plus, adding in the fact that the Healthcare field is deeply intertwined and dependent on the Technology field just adds even more aggressively on that demand.

3rd - Textile Industry
boom in demand & new competition

This one is pretty simple to answer why demand has boosted a bunch and competition has spurred in a way no one could have previously expected - Face Masks! 😷
Basically everyone who is looking to protect themselves from possibly contracting the insidious COVID-19 Virus, which can first appear to have no symptoms and later develop within two weeks.... now everyone is in need of a Face Mask to protect themselves from this unpredictably sly virus.

Businesses in-person +
Public Institutions

Along with all these changes due to the COVID-19 pandemic, business that were in-person anything from nail salons to grocery stores now need to adapt and "dance to the rhythm of the music" or risk losing out on profits from naturally health conscious clients.

Some adoptions are placed by the government, such as limitations in the amount of persons in one building/space.
Other adoptions are pure adaptations, such as appointment-only services, delivery services, and pick-up services (ex: restaurants).

Public Institutions have also adhered and implemented these adaptations, such as placing appointment-only sites (DMV, etc...), limiting capacity of people in one building/space, and encouraging the public to complete service requests/applications online.

Theme parks/ Recreational Centers/ Gyms/ Libraries/ Bars

Ordained by the government to limit capacity of people in one building/space, also great need in  increase of sanitization practices.
