Research on Morgue work

Lately I have taken a unique interest in wanting to know what it would be like to work in a morgue, mortuary, or funeral home....

Although this is a topic mostly seen by society as taboo, it is the epitome of the vision of death, a culmination in fact - "the end stage(s)" to be precise, a ceremony in a way... to certify "the end".

Similar to the fact that we use the toilet several times a day with not so much thought as to what is going on under those sewer pipes under the ground... the whole process, the people who make the toilet system a possibility every day, and the careers associated with that.

I did research on YouTube, across the web, and local research about career possibilities in the field with my local county coroner office, and the requirements seem to be varied?

I have seen some morgues accept medical examiner workers with not so much as a high school diploma and interest in working alongside dead bodies on a 24/7 hourly shift basis,

my local county coroner office as I have read has high standard requirements that an applicant be currently enrolled in Medical or Arts major in Post secondary school and that internships are "fierce competition" for forensic sciences, medical examiner, lab technician work... I have also learned of another occupation, a mortician, which embalms a dead body to prepare for a family viewing at a funeral.

One lady I saw her interview on YouTube, she started off first in medical school, then began work in a funeral home and later received an embalming license to begin work as a mortician at a funeral home.

All of these studies have opened my eyes in a very very intense way, the pure and raw truth. To completely confront the end of life as we know it, and to still take care of these bodies and resolve mysteries?... it takes a lot of guts.

For me personally, an enhanced connection with God, and with every single breath - an appreciation and grateful attitude for life. ...to get to the nitty-gritty and understand "What Really Matters?!?"
To be completely serious and literally stare death in the face and understand, this life is so precious... What will I do with it? What will I focus my mind on, my emotions, my soul, my time, my heart, my actions?
I will ask myself with every decision - Is it really worth it? Along the journey? In the end?

~ so breathe, meditate, &
be sooo thankful for yet another day!!! ~

Another day to do better than yesterday, another day to live, to breathe, to smile, to see the sun, snow, or rain, another day to pray, to talk to a loved one, to do that thing you know you need to do but have been putting off for whatever reason, to make another effort in the right direction...

A present 💝, hope,
to all life every moment & every day!!! ✨🌱 ✨ Life ❤️

Do your very best!!! Don't waste it!!!!!

Tips: How to be your own best company

A few tips on how to be your own best company and best friend...

* take yourself to dine alone at a fancy restaurant as a special treat (best to take order to-go during covid-19 situation we find ourselves in and dine at home if possible, also an option to order from the restaurant on a third party app like Uber Eats)

 * buy flowers or a plant you like for yourself (or as a gift for someone else)

 * learn a new language or brush up on one (especially second generation individual (like me (:+)/ ) /if you are traveling to a new foreign country soon)
 * Take sometime outside the house in the morning, sit down, stand, or walk around a bit - to breathe in the fresh morning air and just think -

 * Take a walk in the daytime, morning, afternoon, around the neighborhood or at a park (breathe in deeply, take in the surrounding nature, and helps to think more clearly about other issues you are facing in day-to-day life and/or decisions)

 * Brush up on skin care, hair care, self-care routine

 * Pray, reflect in journal writing and/or blog writing

 * Write down plans and goals that you've had and hadn't really gotten around to, and brainstorm on ways to materialize and incorporate those goals in your life

 * Discover talents or interests you may not have known you had - learn something new or brush up new skills of what you already know, listen to new music, visit somewhere new that interests you
 * Take a warm bubble bath break for about an hour with candles, epsom salt, relaxing music and just forget the world for a moment

 * Write a list of things you have accomplished and another list of everything you are grateful for until you get tired of writing/typing, look over everything and smile, also a pat on the back (optional)

* Write down and think about something you have learned today or recently

 * Do a random act of kindness, even if you need to force yourself and get out of your comfort zone

The Power of Gratefulness

While listening to a podcast on Spotify of Ologies with Alie Ward which my sister recommended to me ( Thank you sis!! :)  )

about Gratefulness and how Happiness actually creates success and not the other way around. <------ *Super important to take note!*

HAPPINESS = SUCCESS         SUCCESS ≠ HAPPINESS

Also today I just watched a class with Renato Cardoso on Youtube about being grateful, even for the littlest things that seem insignificant.

Being grateful for the time right now, everything we have right now.

Gratefulness allows us to recognize what we have, what we have achieved until now, and how wonderful things are with what we have.

And just taking a picture at the logic of gratefulness -

what does it matter to achieve or receive things we long for if we are not even grateful for what we have already received?

We must be grateful for what we have before we can be fully grateful for what we hope to receive

I wish I could tattoo this into my brain,

A grateful attitude leads to Happiness and Happiness leads to success and not vice-versa!!

Career during COVID 2020/2021

Some Highlights about career changes during the COVID-19 pandemic and what that means for the overall social fabric.

This pandemic is Globally widespread, so the effects on the social fabric are across the entire scale, encompassing nearly every part of the world.

(I'll basically be pointing out the obvious, but please bear with me here)

1st - Healthcare
aggressive boom in demand

The Healthcare field already had great demand way before the COVID-19 pandemic began,
now even more so in an astounding increase in jobs needed to be filled based on demand for anything from COVID testing to hospitalization, not mentioning the whole plethora of other maladies needing attention from Health workers.

Also I see this trend is to most likely to continue increasing over the year 2021, as vaccines are very new & in limited supply and the pandemic is worldwide, which takes even more time to reach everyone who may be in need.

Not to mention what a vaccine cannot cure, that is, speaking about mental/emotional health.
Along with the pressures of the effects of the COVID pandemic, many lost work, and the general addition of stress & pressure has led to the divorce of couples, strain on families, and close connections.

(six feet social distancing + lay offs/furloughs/home evictions + more time on internet/less in person + home delivery fees/extra expenses + less apparent options for stress relief/"going out" + etc... = widespread mental health decline)

2nd - Technology trades
enormous boom in demand

So not much needed to be said here but six feet social distancing

Definitely this field was already growing in demand over the years at an aggressive pace, now with the pandemic, we see :
contactless pay for debit/credit cards is more popular, "Home Office", Virtual meetings/interviews, Using a wide variety of mobile applications to accomplish a variety of things, delivery services, etc....

Now technology is more of a necessity than ever and there needs to be enough workers to meet that demand.

Plus, adding in the fact that the Healthcare field is deeply intertwined and dependent on the Technology field just adds even more aggressively on that demand.

3rd - Textile Industry
boom in demand & new competition

This one is pretty simple to answer why demand has boosted a bunch and competition has spurred in a way no one could have previously expected - Face Masks! 😷
Basically everyone who is looking to protect themselves from possibly contracting the insidious COVID-19 Virus, which can first appear to have no symptoms and later develop within two weeks.... now everyone is in need of a Face Mask to protect themselves from this unpredictably sly virus.

Businesses in-person +
Public Institutions

Along with all these changes due to the COVID-19 pandemic, business that were in-person anything from nail salons to grocery stores now need to adapt and "dance to the rhythm of the music" or risk losing out on profits from naturally health conscious clients.

Some adoptions are placed by the government, such as limitations in the amount of persons in one building/space.
Other adoptions are pure adaptations, such as appointment-only services, delivery services, and pick-up services (ex: restaurants).

Public Institutions have also adhered and implemented these adaptations, such as placing appointment-only sites (DMV, etc...), limiting capacity of people in one building/space, and encouraging the public to complete service requests/applications online.

Theme parks/ Recreational Centers/ Gyms/ Libraries/ Bars

Ordained by the government to limit capacity of people in one building/space, also great need in  increase of sanitization practices.
